Our Materials
We carefully select every piece of material because we are well aware that
what is entrusted to the hands of special creators is not only a tool but also a fulcrum of love.
The Toho and Miyuki rice beads you choose are all top-quality beaded materials from Japan. Alina has selected nearly a hundred different colors and materials of beads, which ensures smooth threading during the shuttle weaving process, allowing it to easily blend into your delicate lace structure without getting stuck or disrupting the flatness of the pattern. Ultimately, it enhances the overall refinement and durability of the work.
Alina has carefully selected over a hundred styles and colors of metal wire for you to choose from. Not only are there 4-strand threads suitable for beginners, but also 3-strand threads favored by experts. These threads not only maintain sufficient softness for easy weaving but also can well outline the patterns and embellish details (such as flower stamens or leaf veins), giving the entire work a subtle and charming luster under the light, enhancing the visual layering and refinement.
We have prepared two styles of pearls for you to choose from. Swarovski simulated pearls have an extremely uniform size and a brilliant luster that does not fade easily, while natural freshwater pearls have a naturally warm luster and unique texture, which can endow the work with a natural and dynamic high-end texture (like the eye-catching stamens in a flower petal).
Our natural tourmaline beads are mainly sold in the small 2mm size, adding a unique natural energy and color charm to the weaving works. Under the sunlight, they will refract a delicate multi-color halo of pink, green and blue. The hand-polished smooth holes ensure that the beads won't scratch the thread during weaving, allowing you to easily incorporate the lively beauty of the earth's minerals into the delicate lace art.
We have carefully selected a variety of colorful natural stone beads, such as garnet, sunstone, multicolored fluorite, pink opal, purple opal, black rutile, etc. From the smooth jadeite to the lively moonstone, these beads undergo full-handcrafted chamfering of the holes, with smooth edges that do not damage the lace thread. They are particularly suitable as the finishing touch in areas such as the overlapping petals, the turning points of the leaf veins, or the gaps between the lace.
We have specially prepared a large number of cubic zirconia for the bobbin weaving bag drilling process. We have not only 12mm/15mm, but even 20*30mm large zirconia stones. We also have flat-top round ones, as well as square octagonal and other shapes. There are numerous colors, ranging from bright to rich and varied.
Our natural mother-of-pearl buttons each bear the unique iridescence and flowing halo bestowed by the ocean, adding an elegant finishing touch to the ends of the weft-braided pieces. The hand-polished smooth curved surface fits the skin perfectly, with double holes/cuff designs on the back, engraved with the word "tatting", which can seamlessly connect with lace finishing threads (such as hidden knots or braided rings), providing both stable and invisible support while remaining natural and load-bearing, elevating the buttoning function to the level of an art-grade detail poem.
From the agile shuttle guiding the threads to dance gracefully, to the meticulous scissors cutting off the thread ends like the wind, to the piano-polished wire box collecting the colorful threads into an artistic canvas, and to the melting pen instantly sealing the thread ends without leaving any trace and making them invisible - these tools are not only the extended hands of the shuttle weaving, but also turn the creation into a ballet performed by fingertips.
